Aotearoa Gaming Trust is proud to have supported the New Zealand Paralympic Team at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. This 24-strong team, including 10 debutants, delivered an outstanding performance across 11 days of fierce competition, securing 9 medals—1 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze—while competing in eight Para sports. Alongside these medals, the athletes set one Paralympic record, four Oceania records, 11 national records, and 12 personal bests.
New Zealand is rightly proud of the tight-knit nature of its communities. Central to these communities are organisations that address local needs, foster social interaction, and drive community development. An important support system for these groups is funding made available through Gaming Societies such as Aotearoa Gaming Trust. These societies, funded by gaming machine proceeds, play a vital role in the development and growth of community-based initiatives across the country. In 2023 $345.46m was awarded in grants, 9,783 organisations were funded and 23,982 total grants were accepted.
