Welcome to our new Chief Financial Officer

We are excited to welcome our new Chief Financial Officer Fiona Jakobs to the Aotearoa Gaming Trust team. Fiona is a Chartered Accountant with a BCom in Accounting and Dip Grad in Finance, she also has a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

Fiona trained as a tax consultant before moving to a much smaller Dunedin based accounting practice. Most recently she was in finance management and worked as project accountant for the Regional Councils Bee card.

As the CFO Fiona’s role is focused on ensuring the finances are organised so maximum grants are released each week. The priority for the finance and grants teams at AGT is making sure they are tracking where the funds came from to return as much as possible to the communities where they were generated.

Fiona is looking forward working alongside our venues and learning more about the community groups we support.
